That Councillor D.REdginton be elected Chairman of the Employment Committee for this Meeting only.

At this point in the Meeting, Members were given the opportunity to disclose any relevant interests.  The following interests were declared with regard to Minute No. 6:-

 

Councillor M.C. Anderson requested it be noted that he was a member of the GMB Trade Union and remained in the Meeting during discussion and voting thereon.

 

Councillor Mrs. S. Campbell-Wardman requested it be noted that whilst her ex son-in-law worked within the same service area as the dismissed employee, he was not connected to the case and remained in the Meeting during discussion and voting thereon.

 

Councillor P. Prince requested it be noted that he was a member of the Unite Trade Union and remained in the Meeting during discussion and voting thereon.

 

Councillor S. Palmer requested it be noted that he was a member of the Unison Trade Union and remained in the Meeting during discussion and voting thereon.

Members noted the reason for the Appellant’s non-attendance at the Meeting and agreed to an adjournment until Monday 16 September 2013 at 10.00am.
