The Council comprises all 55 Elected
Councillors who meet to review and make decisions on:-
- Adopting and changing the Council's
Constitution
- Approving or adopting the Policy
Framework and the Council's budget
- Committee Terms of Reference and
appointment of Councillors to them
Council Meetings also provide the opportunity
for the public and Councillors to ask questions of the Leader of
the Council or Executive Board Members.
Councillors can also make formal proposals for consideration at the
Meeting regarding any matter that is the responsibility of the
Council and which affects residents of the District.
