The Chairman welcomed Councillor David Hall as a new Member of the Committee.

To confirm the Open and Exempt Minutes of the Extraordinary General Licensing Meeting held on 15 April 2024, the Open and Exempt Minutes of the General Licensing Meeting held on 22 April 2024 and the Minutes of the Special Meeting held at the rising of the Annual General Meeting held on 22 May 2024.

That under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items on the grounds that, if they were present, there could be disclosed exempt information as defined at paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 of Part 1 of the Schedule 12A of the Act (as Amended).

It was proposed and seconded that the public and press be excluded from the meeting.

Donna Hall, Group Manager Public Protection, presented Members with an Exempt report relating to an application for hackney carriage and private hire vehicle driver licences.

Members agreed that due to medical evidence in the confidential appendices, the following Item would be held in exempt session.

Members were advised that the applicant would not be attending the hearing, however was happy for it to go ahead.

Donna Hall, Group Manager Public Protection, presented Members with an Open report which asked them to consider an application submitted by a licensed driver under Section 166 of the Equality Act 2010 for an exemption from their duties to assist passengers in wheelchairs.
