Flood and Water Management Scrutiny Committee
Description
At its meeting on 23rd May 2025, Lincolnshire County Council reviewed its Constitution and, as part of that review, agreed to establish an Environment Committee to meet 8 times a year encompassing the former remit of the Flood and Water Management Scrutiny Committee.
This new Committee includes the Council's statutory functions under Section 21F of the Local Government Act 2010 to scrutinise flood and water management in Lincolnshire. The decision to establish this Committee included the revocation of the scheme which co-opted district councillors to the Flood and Water Management Scrutiny Committee.
As a result of this change, the County Council no longer requires outside appointments from district councils to the Flood and Water Management Scrutiny Committee.
